Saturday lunchtime entertainment is provided by you, the retreat participant!

Our Open Mic sessions at Stephen Foster Dulcimer Retreat are a Saturday tradition and we hope to be able to continue that tradition…virtually. You can register to be a Coffeehouse Performer or you may just listen and support your new dulci-friends.

For the Coffeehouse Performer: If you are interested in sharing your favorite tune with others, be sure to CHECK THIS OPTION ON THE REGISTRATION FORM. A schedule will then be made and distributed to those who register for the Zoom Coffeehouse. Coffeehouse performers will be spotlighted in zoom for their presentation. Our time constraint will only allow 3 minutes per performer.

For the audience: All of our audience will remain muted during the Coffeehouse performances. Appreciation for a performance can be made by applauding, or giving thumbs up, or celebration hands.

Let’s Jam!

All registered retreat participants will receive a zoom link for access to all jams.

Join the jam on Friday
Here’s how it works – a few of our instructors will be the tune leaders per session, while all others in the jam are MUTED. Imagine the cacophony that would ensue if all of our mics were live! We’ll call tunes in a round-robin manner. If there’s a tune you’d especially like to have played, simply put it in the comments and we’ll try to get to it.

Join Laurie “at the Gazebo” for a Sunday morning Jam at 8:00am EASTERN!
Since we’re on the river, virtually, we’ll play a few river tunes. Also, since it’s Sunday morning, it is always a good time to play our favorite hymns and gospel tunes. Again, while the song leader is playing, all jammers have the chance to play along while muted.
